Sunnyfield's Central Coast creative team are launching the sculptural exhibit, 'Sunny Wheel' and the photographic exhibit, 'My Place, My Space' on December 1 at the Wyong Civic Centre (2 Hely Street, Wyong). There will be guest speakers and a slide show that captures the unique and creative ability of the People We Support that were involved in this fantastic project.

As part of the Don't DIS my ABILITY and International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) celebration events, Sunnyfield's Day Options Program in Lilyfield will exhibit a series of outdoor photographs or 'paste ups' depicting the daily lives of 13 People We Support. You can see this exhibition on Catherine Street, near Lilyfield Road, Lilyfield (near the Tram Station).

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is on December 3 and Sutherland Shire Council is putting on a day of celebration at Dunningham Park, Cronulla from 10.00am to 3.00pm. The day will begin with a 'Stroll & Roll' walk at 9am and will feature throughout the day:

  • live music and performances
  • jumping castle
  • international food
  • reptile display
  • craft and gift stalls
  • temporary tattoo art
  • and much more!

Accessible transport is available, departing every half an hour from 8.30am from the Eastern end of the Sharks Leagues Club carpark.

Sunnyfield's St Mary's and Kingswood Day Options Programs will showcase their project, 'Shine' at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith from 10.30am to 12.00pm. This project will be launched as part of the Penrith Council's Don't DIS my ABILITY Day event.

Members of Sunnyfield's Bexley Day Options Program will launch their CD as part of the 'Sing and Shine' project at the Kingsgrove RSL Club (4 Brocklehurst Lane, Kingsgrove) from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. The creative team explored sounds relating to their experiences and captured these sounds on a Banana Keyboard. The launch will also feature and artwork and photography exhibition.
